Elizabeth M. Guerrier, PhD

Dr. Elizabeth Guerriero is a dedicated Suzuki educator whose teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that musical excellence is attainable for every child through a supportive community and rigorous pedagogical foundation. Her studio is shaped by an extensive suite of Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA) Registered Training, including Every Child Can!, Suzuki Principles in Action, and the full trajectory of Violin Units 1 through 9, capped by a comprehensive Teaching Practicum.

Dr. Guerriero’s students have achieved distinction at the highest levels of the profession. Alumni of her studio have gone on to flourish as concert soloists, university professors, and members of major symphony orchestras including the Pittsburgh Symphony, a testament to the technical precision and musical sensitivity fostered in her teaching.

While her heart remains in the studio, Dr. Guerriero’s influence extends across the national music education landscape. She has served as the Director of Education for the CUNY Harmony Program, where she worked with over 500 students and collaborated with world-class artists like Joshua Bell and Wynton Marsalis. A recognized leader in the field, in 2019 Dr. Guerriero was a Finalist for the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra’s Ovation Award for Inspiration and Outstanding Leadership in Music Education.

Dr. Guerriero holds a Ph.D. in Music Education from Penn State University, an M.M. from the University of Denver, and a B.M. from the Hartt School. As the founder of Beth G Consulting, she remains a passionate advocate for the arts ecosystem, ensuring that music education remains a vibrant and accessible force in the community. When not teaching, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family and two cats.
