C. Final Concert

The Final Concert will take place on Friday in the Chapel.  The Final Concert repertory will be selected by repertory class teachers and orchestra director during the week.

  • Students participating in Preparatory, Beginning and Reading Orchestra Classes as well as Book 1 Repertory Classes are scheduled to perform in Friday afternoon concert.
  • Students participating in intermediate and Advanced Orchestra Classes and Book 2 and Up Repertory Classes are scheduled to perform in the Friday evening concert.
  • Children must be unpacked, rosined and ready for tuning in advance of performances:
    • 3:05 for the Friday Afternoon Concert,
    • 5:35 for the Friday Evening Concert.

Students will sit with their repertory class teachers. Parents will sit in the chapel behind the seated repertory classes. The hall will be marked showing where the repertory classes will sit.  The first orchestra to perform will go to the stage for the start of the program. The performance will begin with the orchestras.  Performances by cellists will follow, then violinists. The evening concert will conclude with a play down from the most advanced violin piece to Twinkle.

Please be courteous and stay to listen to all the performances, not just the one that includes your child! Children should sit quietly and not move about during the performance. If you are bringing a small child, please step out of the room if he or she starts to cry so the remainder of the audience can hear the performance.
