The Allegro Orchestra Program is for any string player ages 12 – 18 who are a part of their school orchestra program! Parents can drop students off at 8am and pick up between 4-5 pm. Students should bring their own music stand and a pencil with their instrument for a fun filled day of ensemble music making. Coaches, teachers, and conductors will work with students in large and small groups to help prepare students for the final performance at the end of the week. Intended for string students of all levels, ages, and methods of study (yes, even outside of Suzuki!), this institute will allow students to experience an immersive orchestral experience with others of their same drive. Whether in orchestra rehearsal, group sessions and sectionals, or private lessons, all students will grow in their orchestral knowledge, self confidence, and friendships spanning training and states.
All GWSI programs run in person between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Student participants will not have classes scheduled during every hour in order to provide rest, practice time and socialization with their peers. Please bring a bag lunch and beverage each day.
