Daniel Rivera

Daniel Rivera began his study of the cello at age 11, beginning in his school orchestra program. This past spring, Daniel graduated from the University of Tennessee with his Masters of Music, with a concentration in Music Education. While at UT, Daniel studied under Wesley Baldwin and held the Strings Initiative Program assistantship, where he taught a beginning strings after school program at a local elementary school. He also taught at the UT String Project where he was a lead teacher and mentored undergraduate students. Daniel has taken Suzuki Cello training under the instruction of Zachary Sweet and has previously studied with Dana McComb at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Daniel enjoys performing, especially with others in the chamber music setting. He has loved playing in string trios, quartets, and piano quintets during his collegiate studies. Daniel teaches Elementary Strings in Prince William County and cello and chamber coaching at Sforza Suzuki Strings.
