Madeleine Gabalski

Growing up in a musical family, Madeleine Gabalski started learning to play the violin when she was just 3 years old. She was her mother’s first Suzuki student, but also studied with a number of other teachers over the years including Alice Kanack, Laura Bossert, and Wanchi Huang. Most recently, she started her own private violin and viola studio. She has completed teacher training with Ronda Cole and David Strom. In the spring of 2025, she graduated with a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Violin Performance. While at JMU, she held positions as the principal violist and concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra, as well as first violinist positions in string quartets, quintets, and trios. Although she is heavily involved in music to this day, she eventually plans to enroll in medical school and become a physician.
